At the volunteer appreciation party held last night at the Tewksbury Lodge the Volunteer of the Year Award was bestowed upon Mary Clare Carey Dolata. Mary has been a constant to assist at park events, Tewksbury events and Valley Community Center events. Mary has assisted at every food distribution since Covid hit last March
With no permit, The Valley Community Association was forced to cancel the “Old Neighborhood” St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 14. Rather than cancel all festivities, we decided to postpone the St. Patrick's Day event to Saturday, September 19, 2020 when we will celebrate "Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day."

The Valley Community Association will be holding a Summer Day Camp from Monday, June 29th through Wednesday, August 26th for kids ages 5 to 12 years old (5 year olds must have completed Kindergarten). The camp will be held at the Valley Community Center, located at 93 Leddy Street, Buffalo, New York from 7am
From September 2018 to November 2019, the VCA's youth program participants began the project by exploring the nature trails located around the Valley Community Center, which will become part of the Riverline Trail.
